OUR STORY
Why Artesands Was Born
For a long time, almost every swimsuit on the market was designed on a size AU8 body, then scaled up to larger sizes with little thought for how curves actually change things. We thought someone should do something about that.
Artesands was started by a woman who saw this problem clearly and decided to solve it properly, by going back to the very beginning of how a swimsuit is designed and built. Our team set out to create something the swimwear industry was genuinely missing: beautifully made swimwear that actually fits curvy bodies, supports them properly, and looks as good as it feels.
Our Curve Fit
At Artesands, every swimsuit we design starts on a size AU18 body. Designed from scratch, on a body with real curves. That means our swimsuits have more depth across the bust, hips, stomach, bottom, and under the arms. We have meticulously designed our patterns so that the places that used to dig in or pull, now sit perfectly on your body.
We call it the Artesands Curve Fit, and it's built into every style we make. It's why our swimsuits hold you properly, stay in place, and have a level of support that feels like it was designed for you.
We know that every woman's body is uniquely her own. That's why we've put so much care into building support and coverage that works across a range of shapes, not just one idealised version of what a curvy body looks like.

The Features That Make It Work
Good fit starts with smart design. Here are the key supportive features you'll find across our range, and what they actually do.
A firm, supportive mesh lining that wraps the entire swimsuit. It holds everything gently in place, all the way around, so you feel secure and supported from every angle.
Structured cups designed to work across a range of cup sizes, not just one. They move with you, hold their shape in the water, and mean you're not relying on a tiny foam insert to do all the work.
For those who want it, underwire is built in with comfort in mind, soft-tipped and carefully placed so it supports without digging. Real bra-level support, in a swimsuit.
Wider straps distribute weight more evenly across your shoulders, which makes an enormous difference in comfort over a full day at the beach or pool. Adjustable so you can get the lift and support that feels right for you.
Sturdy, reliable clips that actually hold, because nothing should come loose mid swim. These are designed to last and to keep everything exactly where you want it.
A built-in shelf bra adds an extra layer of support and structure, so even styles without underwire give you that held-in, secure feeling.
Depending on the style, cups are either removable or sewn in. Both options are designed with your comfort in mind, so you can wear it the way that works best for you.
