Artesands is a swimwear brand for curvy girls, driven by passion, persistence, and a deep commitment to normalizing the female body. As a team, we are dedicated to breaking down the stereotypical ideals promoted by the swimwear industry.
We were being told that curvy women love their bodies, but that the swimwear industry at large wasn’t offering them what they needed – in other words, good quality, gorgeous and supportive swimwear that would enhance their shape and allow them to enjoy the sun and water during the warmer months

How do we make our plus size swimsuits
All of our sizing labels include a plus (+) symbol, meaning ‘plus a little bit more’ this helps our plus size swimwear to be the best fit for your curves. It’s based on measuring true ‘plus size’ women and not fashion models. This means a bit more room through the mid section and hips and a bit more fabric at the top of the back and underarms. This ‘plus a little bit’ ensures the plus size swimwear sits smoothly on the body and does not dig in or create bulges.
From our designer
Once a woman finds the shape that plus size swimsuit to fit her curves, she comes back to buy the new print in that style every season. She knows if she is a Delacroix, a Cezanne or perhaps a Botticelli. We believe the body is a work of art and women should feel free to express themselves creatively by what they wear. We have ‘Art’ in our name, as art is what we love. There’s a feeling of awe and inspiration that comes with looking at beautiful artworks and we try to draw on that feeling. We believe you are the artist in your life, so don’t hand the paint brush to anyone else!
Sustainable plus size swimwear
Our commitment is not just to our beautiful curvy girls, but also to our beautiful curvy planet! We prioritize sustainability as a key value of our brand and actively support various initiatives aimed at giving back to Mother Earth and making a positive impact.
We try to be kind to the environment too; The designs in their sustainable range are printed on quality and comfortable recycled nylon fabrication. Swimsuits made from 100% recycled nylon from post-consumer waste – that’s a big tick!
In a nutshell, we take a sustainable and ethical approach in the manufacture, design and materials of their swimwear. This, in turn, maximises the benefits to the consumer and society at large, while simultaneously minimising their impact on the environment.
We have also paired up with Upparel to help tackle the amount of textile waste and i=change which donates $1 from every sale to a charity of your choice!
