The Arte collection is named after the extremely well-known Mexican painter Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón, otherwise known as Frida Kahlo. Kahlo was mostly known for herself portraits, themes of pain and passion and bold powerful colours. She painted herself repeatedly, exploring, questioning, and staging herself and identity. “They thought I was a Surrealist, but I wasn’t,” she said. “I never painted dreams.
