What does Deliciosa mean?

If you have shopped with us here at Artesands before you would have noticed our unique naming convention. This particular name has taken on inspiration from the plant featured in the design.

The term "Deliciosa" is associated with the Monstera deliciosa, which is a species of tropical plant. Monstera deliciosa is often referred to as the Swiss cheese plant due to the unique split or perforated leaves that resemble Swiss cheese. It is native to the rainforests of Central America but is also cultivated as a popular ornamental plant worldwide.

Monstera deliciosa is appreciated not only for its distinctive foliage but also for its relatively easy care. The plant is known for its large, glossy green leaves with irregular splits and holes. As a houseplant, it is often grown indoors, but it can also thrive in outdoor gardens in tropical and subtropical climates.

Naming this particular print came from inspiration of my houseplants that have been thriving in the summer warmth!
