Hayes
One of the styles that we are offering in our La Rambla collection is Hayes. Hayes is named after the British painter Edwin Hayes. Hayes was an English and Irish marine artist that painted ships and seaside with oil and water colours in the 1800’s. Hayes painted dreamy seascapes in Ireland, England, Belgium, Holland, France, Spain and Italy, his work featuring ships and boats in high seas, harbour scenes or other aspects of the coastline.
You might remember Hayes from our previous Viva La Eden collection or our Signature Hues from our Core Range. Hayes is a fashion style that has so many features most of which you would not know are there unless you are the wearer.
Hayes One Piece Swimsuit
So, because of this I am going to break down all of the technical features that makes Hayes a true Artesands curve fit and plus size supportive swimsuit.
360 Degree Powermesh for Body Sculpting Confidence
Powermesh is a magical thing, trust me. Our Hayes one piece swimsuit is fully lined with this magical powermesh. It helps to sculpt and flatten areas of your body like you are wearing a control garment without sacrificing comfort. Powermesh is made from a Nylon, Elastane fabrication that is soft to touch and feels amazing on your skin. The construction of this knit (without getting too technical) is small little ovals that are all joined together, these little ovals stretch to your body as you put on the curve fit and plus size swimsuit. We call our powermesh 360 degrees, as we use it right the way around the body in a 360 degree full circle so that our women can feel the maximum support without feeling to constraint. Powermesh is a soft strong fabrication that we line all of our swimsuits in, it can be found on the internal body of all our one pieces, swimdresses, all in ones, tankini tops, bikini tops and swim briefs.
Supportive D Cup and DD Cup Underwires
Hayes is one of our underwire styles, technically designed to fit cup sizes D Cup and DD Cup. Unfortunately if you are not a D cup or DD cup we cannot advise that our Hayes shape will fit you correctly.
All of our underwire shapes have a soft fabrication covering the wire, much like a bra, to avoid it rubbing against the skin. They are also rust proof, so you don’t have to worry about the wore rusting while you are swimming in your cossy.
Internal Shelf Bra with Removable Soft Cups
Along with our D cup DD cup underwires that offer amazing support our Hayes curve fit and plus size one piece swimsuit also has a front shelf bra with removable soft cups.
The front shelf bra is strip of soft thick elastic that will sit on your underbust. We have this elastic as a 2.5cm thickness so it can sit flush against the skin and not rise or rub. This cossy also has a removable soft cup that can either stay in the swimsuit for support and that extra layer over the bust or be removed if you want to be free (I think our curvy girls will know what I mean here). These cups are a soft foam moulded to the shape of the bust, there is a small opening on the side of the bust area where you can easily open and remove the cup. If you are like me, this is the first thing that happens when I get a new curve fit one piece, it is however purely personal preference.
Faux Wrap Front Crossover with Side Tie
The wrap around curve fit swimsuit with tie front is one of this summer’s greatest trends. At Artesands our designers have developed this style so that it looks amazing on and does not make you look like your boobs are drooping down to the ground and have no support.
Our front, cross the body-draped tie, is FAUX. On the external of the garment we have the look of the wrap around body swimsuit trend, but as our look is mock, we are able to have all the internal construction we need to make you looking and feeling great.
The most important thing about all of this, you cannot even tell the wrap is a faux!
Having a faux look of this wrap around fashion trend, allows for all our principles of design, ideals and functionality that are the foundation of the Artesands brand – to fit your curves.
We wanted to design a beautiful wrap feature that curves around the body creating a sculpting silhouette whilst not comprising the function of our garment. To do this we have made the tie a faux tie. Whilst it is a mock tie, you cannot tell from looking at it.
The reasoning for this feature is so you feel secure in the swimsuit and it allows us to have ALL the internal construction we need for the ultimate curvy girl support. The tie on the side is able to be undone and tied in a bow or left as a knot, this is perfect as you can hide and disguise parts of your body that you would like to.
Adjustable Wide Shoulder Straps for Extra Comfort and Support
Our Hayes curve fit one piece swimsuit has wide should straps that are fully adjustable with sliders. We make sure we use thick straps with strong rings and sliders to avoid any breaking or rubbing, the wide straps sit flush on the shoulder without the discomfort of digging in. On the back of the swimsuit we have small gold rings that attach the strap to the back of the one piece, these are secured to avoid that awful pinging of the strap if you move the wrong way, the front strap is continued from the base of the swimsuit. Our rings and slider are a beautiful Artesands gold that match back to our free as a bird little logo disc on the centre back of the swimsuit. These gold accessories are coated so they do not heat up and burn you while you are laying in the sun.
Draping Effect
There is nothing better than the disguising effects of ruching or draping, and the wrap around style of this suit provides a beautiful, sophisticated shape while disguising any of those mid-section insecurities. Our draped front tie holds in place and gives you a diagonal ruched effect and makes your waist look slimmer, creating a beautiful hour glass shape.
Easy To Pull on Over the Hip and Take Off
As this suit is a fake wrap around, you do not need to worry about how to deal with the design to get in and out of the suit (nevertheless how long that may take to do as typically found with any traditional wrap around swimsuits). Hayes is just a quick easy pull up and on and you are ready!
Soft Touch, High Stretch Swim Fabrication
All our fabrications are an amazing soft touch fabrication with high stretch for support and comfort. Once you have felt this fabric you will not go back to any other swimsuit, it is a cold soft touch that nearly feels like butter, honestly feels like it would melt in your hand, the good thing is, it will not!
Hayes High Waist Side Tie Swim Pant
Our Hayes high waisted swim pant is also available in our bohemian La Rambla print. Now this description might be brief (get it?) compared to the one piece curve fit swimsuit however just as much love went into it, I can assure you.
Soft touch, high stretch swim fabrication
You might have guessed this fact, but our Hayes pant is made with the same beautifully soft fabrication as the one piece. This soft buttery handfeel also helps the tie on our Hayes pant fall softly giving it an amazing draping effect.
High Waist
Our Hayes swim pant has a nice high waist with full support and excellent coverage on the stomach and back area.
Functional Side
Tie Unlike the Hayes one piece the side tie on our Hayes swim pant is full functional. This tie is sewn into the side seams to allow for all of the standard support we offer in our swim pants. The tie can be tied in a knot or a bow and you can easily change the location of the tie for the areas you wish to cover or embellish.

Yes, I am back onto powermesh! Our Hayes high waisted swim pant has full 360 degree powermesh lining for the ultimate support. This allows you to be supported where required and enhance the areas that you desire.

Understanding the Plus Symbol
If you already own an Artesands curve fit plus size swimsuit you will notice all of our sizes on the garment tag have a little + symbol. This plus symbol symbolises ‘plus a little bit more’. As we design all of our swimwear on an Australian size 18 model this means we have allocated for more fabric and fitting to be allocated across the body, we know as well as anyone that when you go up a size its in all different areas of the body.
